Why it’s special:

History/Story of Warther Cutlery & Museum
Ernest “Mooney” Warther began carving as a child in the late 1800s and went on to create more than 60 steam engines and mechanical works entirely by hand. His carvings—made from ebony, walnut, bone and ivory—feature working gears, tiny moving parts and astonishing detail. In 1902, Mooney also began making knives, establishing Warther Cutlery. Today, the Warther family preserves both legacies through the museum and factory, still located on the original homestead property.
