Discover BabyLand General — the Official Home of Cabbage Patch Kids
Step into a whimsical world where “babies” are born from cabbages and adopted by loving families. BabyLand General is the original birthplace of the hand-stitched “Cabbage Patch Kids,” offering a unique, nostalgic, and family-friendly experience. Visitors can stroll through nurseries filled with dolls of all ages, witness the magical “births,” adopt a doll, and explore a vast shop of toys, clothing, and accessories.
Why it’s special: It’s the only place in the world where you can watch a “birth,” adopt your own Cabbage Patch Kid, and immerse yourself in the full colorful lore of this iconic doll brand.
History/Story of BabyLand General Hospital
Established from a former clinic in Cleveland, Georgia, BabyLand General became the home of the dolls created by Xavier Roberts. Since the late 1970s and officially relocating into a southern-style mansion in 2009, the site has functioned both as a legend-steeped museum and a retail adoption center — preserving the original charm and handcrafted spirit of the dolls while welcoming generations of fans and new adopters.
