Discover the Journeyman Distillery Tour in Michigan
Explore handcrafted spirits, organic ingredients, and small-batch production at Journeyman Distillery, located inside the historic Featherbone Factory in downtown Three Oaks. This immersive tour highlights the artistry behind Journeyman’s award-winning whiskey, gin, rum, vodka, and liqueurs—all produced with meticulous attention to grain sourcing and traditional distilling methods.
Why it’s special:
Journeyman is one of the few certified organic, grain-to-glass distilleries in the Midwest, operating inside a beautifully restored 19th-century factory.
History/Story of Journeyman Distillery
The distillery opened in 2010 inside the former Featherbone Factory—a landmark built by E.K. Warren in the 1880s to produce corset stays made from turkey feathers. Journeyman embraced the site’s industrial history, preserving the original brickwork, beams, and machinery while building a modern craft distillery. Today, it produces nationally recognized spirits using organic grains sourced from Midwest family farms.
